Christian Academy Pre-K Students
Mt. Moriah Christian Academy Pre-K Program is for 3 and 4 year old children and we emphasize an individual-ized learning experience for your child. We focus on nurturing the whole child: spiritually, aca-demically, socially and physi-cally and would love to have you join our class! Enroll early – class seating is limited.
Our Class Room
The Pre-K Learning Center is colorful, creative and well-structured with educational games, toys and equipment to optimize each child’s learning experience.
3 Year-Old Program
Children are introduced to sociali-zation skills, learning friendship and kindness in one-on-one situa-tions and in group settings. Chil-dren are acclimated to school routines and structure, helping them to learn about table time, circle time, reading time, and play and snack time.
4 Year-Old Program
Children embark on a journey for kindergarten readiness, learning the alphabet letters and the phonetic sounds. Children learn their numbers, shapes and colors, opposites and rhyming. We practice reading, and drawing, play games, and enjoy music time. With each letter of the alpha-bet, we learn about interesting ani-mals, places and people. Our Christian-based curriculum includes writing practice for letters and numbers, and art projects.
Throughout the year our class goes on field trips related to our current educational themes. We will visit the local Post Office to mail our Valentines and we spend a day at an apple orchard. We celebrate Mother’s Day with a special event, and Father’s Day with “Doughnuts with Dad”. We participate in our School’s Christmas program, Fall Festival, and in June we have our own Pre-K graduation program with each child wearing a little cap and gown!
Note: December 1st of the current school year is the birthday deadline for potential students.
